Marksmanship Qualification Course
In the MQUC-1 Marksmanship Qualification Course the participants gets tested on reaction time and accuracy. The participants will retrieve a M16a4 rifle with 2 30 Round STANAG Magazines and will assume their position at their firing lane. They will engage 45 pop-up targets at varying distances. Targets pop up for 2 seconds before lowering back down. They will engage 15 targets standing, 15 targets crouching, and 15 targets prone.
To pass this check listed training you fail or pass depending on how many targets the participant hits. Failing to hit enough targets will result in a failure. If the participant hits 35 targets or more they will receive the Basic Marksman Badge, if the participant hits 41 or more they will receive the Advanced Marksman Badge, and if the participant hits 43 or more targets they will receive the Expert Marksman Badge. The examiner will explain why you failed these points and what you can do to pass them. The test can be retaken after a period of seven days. The test will have to be re-done completely if failed.
- (MAJ) Hit 35 targets total during the 3 stages.
- 35-40 targets hit will reward you with a Basic Marksmanship Badge and 1 Merit Mark.
- 41-42 targets hit will reward you with a Advanced Marksmanship Badge and 1 additional Merit Mark.
- 43 or more targets hit will reward you with a Expert Marksmanship Badge and 2 additional Merit Marks.
