Grenade Launcher Assessment Course
In the GLAC-1 Grenade Launcher Qualification Course the participants gets tested on M203 employment and accuracy. The participants will retrieve a M16/M4(M203) rifle with 6 HE 40mm rounds, and will assume their position at their firing lane. They will engage 5 targets at 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m, 250m.
Failing to demonstrate any of the 3 major proficiencies will result in a failure. The examiner will explain why you failed these points and what you can do to pass them. The test can be retaken after a period of seven days. Only the points that led to the previous failure will be reassessed.
- (MAJ) Be aware of the capabilities of each of the different M203 ordenance types.
- (MAJ) Know the minimum engagement distance of the M203, and the risks of employing it closer than that range.
- (MAJ) Hit all targets up to and including 250m
- (MINOR) Hit bonus targets at beyond 251m
