In this training course, the participants gets tested on their ability to deploy their parachutes at the correct altitude, depending on the type of jump performed. They will also be tested on their ability to know when it's their turn to eject, what the different kinds of jumps are, and what parachutes are available to them.

Qualification prerequisites

To pass this checklisted training you can only fail to demonstrate one minor qualification. Failing to demonstrate any of the 4 major proficiencies will result in a failure. The examiner will explain why you failed these points and what you can do to pass them. The test can be retaken after a period of seven days. Only the points that led to the previous failure will be reassessed.

Checklist
  • (MAJ) Know different parachute types and how they work
    • Steerable parachute
    • Non- Stearable parachute
    • Reserve parachute
  • (MAJ) Know the different types of jumps, aswell as their usage and how to execute them.
  • (MAJ) Execute the following jumps from a fixed wing aircraft
    • HALO jump
    • LALO jump
    • (MINOR) HAHO jump (Optional)
  • (MAJ) Execute the following jumps from a rotary aircraft
    • HALO jump
    • LALO jump
  • (MINOR) Land within 50 meters of the LZ in a HALO jump.
