Independent Gaming Tactics

About the team

The realism unit Independent Gaming Tactics (IGT) plays weekly PVE missions in the PC-game Arma 3. Trainings are organised to ensure good tactics across the teams. There is also an element of roleplay involved through ranks, communication and tactical gameplay.

Arma 3

Arma 3 could technically be called an infantry simulation FPS. On top of that it provides vehicular combat on land, in the sea and in the air. The modding community has been an amazing addition to the series providing additional armies, gameplay changes and custom missions.

The mods we mainly use are:

• to add realism mechanics ACE3,
• to provide radio communication simulation ACRE2,
• contemporary units and vehicles RHS and
• a wide variety or terrains through the community upgrade project CUP.

Milsim

IGT is not a 'hardcore' military simulation group. We respect all members regardless of their rank or position so our senior ranking officers do not expect you to salute them or address them as 'Sir'. In the same manner your Drill Instructor is looking for the best out of you but they will not be shouting or screaming during your basic training. However it's fun to have certain level of role-playing, and it will never be frowned upon.

• We use aspects of real military structure where it applies realistically to us. What we don't do is get carried away with excessive rules and regulations.

• We strive for organized, disciplined fun. We are not trying to pretend that we are in the military. We are playing in a realistic way in order to have a good time as a community of friends.
