Pacific Redemption (PHASE III)
From: Col O. Hebron
(Intelligence Officer, IGTC, S-3 )
I imagine its been a rough morning for you all, having to defend our new airstrip against a counter-attack of that magnitude just hours after capturing it, you've all done a hell of a job so far. As we speak, the rest of the Taskforce are currently fortifying our position on the south-eastern island, so rest easy for now.
After you've all got some well deserved shut-eye i want you all preparing to spearhead the assault towards the uranium mine.
Since it's safe to assume that the Tanoan Liberation Force have allready identified us, it's also safe to assume that they have a basic understanding of what our goal is here, satellite imagery showing mobilization of enemy troops onto the roads and into the jungles between us and the Red Spring Mine, also backs up that conclusion.
Our intel suggest that there are fortified check points along the way, guerilla fighters in the jungles, and a barracks near the mine, there are also possible dug in IED's near the mine. Due to that last part we've requisitioned some heavy MRAP's for you, equipped with the AN/VLQ-12 CREW Duke Electronic Warfare System that is designed to neutralize remote controlled IED's.
While CAS and IDF assets will be available for you to use on the way to the mine, you are NOT authorized to utilize these assets on targets near or at the mine. This is due to the fact that the Red Spring Mine is a uranium mine, and we can not risk heavy ordenance hitting civillians used as slave labor in the mines, nor can we risk it launching uranium particles into the air, potentially contaminating the entire island.
We expect the enemy to provide heavy resistance on your way towards the mine, delaying you significantly. But if you do manage to capture the Red Spring Mine in good time, you will then move on to your secondary objective, to clear and sieze the La Rochelle Aerodome. In addition to the oppertunity to neutralize this airstrips one or two squadrons of enemy air assets, (Which will most likely be used against you as you try to move on the mine) the capture of this airstrip will allow us to field more aircraft in the region, and will thus allow us to fly in even more assets between each mission.

- Neutralize ALL enemy presence in and around the mine.
