A few weeks ago, a coup was staged on Tanoa by an insurgent group with strong ties to the Philippines New People’s Army (NPA), they’re calling themselves the Tanoa Liberation Force (TLF).

Our intel suggests the group have been rapidly expanding in the last 7 months, and just recently switched from covert drugs/weapons smuggling and kidnappings, to an overt insurgency group dedicated to toppling the government of Tanoa.

Tanoa, being a small island near Fiji is not a particularly strategic location, so normally we would not interfere in regime changes such as this. Unfortunately recent intel has uncovered evidence that the TLF has begun utilizing the population as slave labor, for the purpose of extracting uranium from the Tanoan Red Spring surface mine. They have started shipping that uranium from the Blue Pearl industrial port located in the north eastern part of Tanoa, to the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea.

The North Korean navy is escorting the cargo ships, and thus we can not interfere with the uranium shipments after they have left Tanoa, or we would be risking open war.

This means that your task force will be deployed to Tanoa itself, and provided with the following objectives:

Have your Task Force geared up and ready to deploy, you’re shipping out within a week.

    Additional Notes:

The Tanoan Liberation Army seems to be equipped with russian soviet-era weaponry and assets. Probably purchased through black market channels.

We will be able to increase the diversity/amount of assets given to you, if you capture additional ports and airfields throughout the operation.

    Pedicabo ego vos Coreae Septentrionalis

    Objectives

    [Combat operations]

    • Halting enemy mining operations.
    • Seizing enemy shipping installation.
    • Eliminate insurgent leadership.

    [Employ hearts and minds tactics]

    • Allow for the Reinstatement of a democratic regime.
    • Allow for the Tanoan Defence Force (TDF) to be reformed.

The first part of our operations here on Tanoa, will be to secure ourselves a location for our primary FOB in this theater.

A suitable location has already been determined, the Saint George Airstrip located in the south eastern part of Tanoa.

The airstrip itself poses a severe threat, with multiple aircraft stationed there ready for take-off at a moment's notice.

These aircraft will more than likely launch if enemy forces in the area suspects an imminent assault on their position, to make matters worse, if the aircraft are left unchecked they could potentially be withdrawn to a secondary airfield, only to be used against us in both future operations, and to prevent more of our assets from being flown in.

In addition there is an old fortress in the bay, south-south-east of the airfield, this fortress has been fortified and equipped to not only be able to lend fire-support to the airstrip, but also to be able to defend itself from a direct assault.

You should also be aware that the town connecting the fortress and the airstrip has essentially been turned into a large barracks for the personnel in the area, expect any infantry stationed there, to come to the aid of both the airfield and/or the fortress.

As a minor note, there will potentially be minor enemy presence in the surrounding villages.

    Objectives

    Primary

    • Capture and Secure the Saint George Airstrip.

    Secondary

    • Prevent destruction of the Airstrips infrastructure.

    Message

We've secured the immediate area around the airfield, now comes the hard part, holding our ground.

Undercover agents on the island are reporting a mass mobilization of enemy troops, due to our prolonged firefights in our initial assault, the enemy has a good grasp of who they're dealing with here, and are reacting accordingly. They have begun fortifying this operations primary objectives (The mines, ports and their HQ's) and are currently assembling a force to attempt to retake their airbase.

With the Aircraft stationed on the airstrip we captured falling back during our assault, we can expect to see them again, either during this assault, or in future missions, it's unkown where and when the enemy will decide to use these assets against us.

But for now, lets stick to the matter at hand, We have an enemy assault inbound, your objectives are to maintain control of the island we're on, Namely "Saint-George". We chose this island because of its bridge access to the main Tanoan island, so we can easily move armored vehicles across to support our offensive, but this also means that the enemy can move across heavier assets aswell. Preferably you would use the bridge as a chokepoint, but chances are the enemy is not going to make that easy for us. In addition there are some unverified civillian reports of remnants of the garrison of the airstrip and town are still present on this island, so keep your heads on a swivel, if they have the equipment to coordinate with the enemy assault, they could become a large threat.

Do whatever you can to stave off this assault, we have to hold our ground here, or risk being pushed into the jungles or even worse, the ocean.

    Objectives

    Primary

    • Defend the Island of "Saint-George"
      • Prevent enemies from getting a foothold
      • Prevent any damage to the infrastructure of the Airstrip

    Secondary

    • Clear the island of remnants from our inital assault

    Message

I imagine its been a rough morning for you all, having to defend our new airstrip against a counter-attack of that magnitude just hours after capturing it, you've all done a hell of a job so far. As we speak, the rest of the Taskforce are currently fortifying our position on the south-eastern island, so rest easy for now.

After you've all got some well deserved shut-eye i want you all preparing to spearhead the assault towards the uranium mine.

Since it's safe to assume that the Tanoan Liberation Force have allready identified us, it's also safe to assume that they have a basic understanding of what our goal is here, satellite imagery showing mobilization of enemy troops onto the roads and into the jungles between us and the Red Spring Mine, also backs up that conclusion.

Our intel suggest that there are fortified check points along the way, guerilla fighters in the jungles, and a barracks near the mine, there are also possible dug in IED's near the mine. Due to that last part we've requisitioned some heavy MRAP's for you, equipped with the AN/VLQ-12 CREW Duke Electronic Warfare System that is designed to neutralize remote controlled IED's.

While CAS and IDF assets will be available for you to use on the way to the mine, you are NOT authorized to utilize these assets on targets near or at the mine. This is due to the fact that the Red Spring Mine is a uranium mine, and we can not risk heavy ordenance hitting civillians used as slave labor in the mines, nor can we risk it launching uranium particles into the air, potentially contaminating the entire island.

We expect the enemy to provide heavy resistance on your way towards the mine, delaying you significantly. But if you do manage to capture the Red Spring Mine in good time, you will then move on to your secondary objective, to clear and sieze the La Rochelle Aerodome. In addition to the oppertunity to neutralize this airstrips one or two squadrons of enemy air assets, (Which will most likely be used against you as you try to move on the mine) the capture of this airstrip will allow us to field more aircraft in the region, and will thus allow us to fly in even more assets between each mission.

    Good luck.

    Objectives

    Primary

    • Capture the Red Spring Mine
      • Clear a route towards the Red Spring Mine
      •  Neutralize ALL enemy presence in and around the mine.

    Secondary

    • Capture La Rochelle Aerodome
      • Destroy or sieze enemy air assets at the airfield
      • Neutralize ALL enemy presence in and around the airfield.

    Message

Good job on capturing the Red Spring mine, with the mine secured we have managed to cut their supply at its source.

However, the insurgents still have a sizable stockpile of uranium at the Blue Pearl industrial port, so naturally this is our next target.

It seems however the enemy have changed tactics, instead of engaging us in the jungles, they have pulled all their remaining forces back into the port, and dug themselves in. No doubt that they intend to make it hard for us to rout them out, relying on air support from the Rochelle airport to augment their defenses.

It would still be useful for us to secure the La Rochelle Aerodome, so prioritize your objectives wisely.

You should also be aware that since you decided to fly forces in towards the red spring mine, leaving the jungles and road between the Saint George Airstrip and the Red Spring mine contested, we've had to divert most of our new assets towards the rest of our taskforce on the island, which are currently cleaning up that mess.

As such, you will have no additional assets available to you for this mission, and the heavy MRAPS with the AN/VLQ-12 CREW Duke Electronic Warfare System have also been retasked to these forces.

    Objectives

    Primary

    • Capture the Blue Pearl industrial port
      • Neutralize ALL enemy presence in and around the port.

    Secondary

    • Capture La Rochelle Aerodome
      • Destroy or sieze enemy air assets at the airfield
      • Neutralize ALL enemy presence in and around the airfield.
    • Try to capture atleast 3 enemy combatants alive.
      • All captured POW's must be transported to the Saint George Airstrip safely.
    • Prevent destruction of the ports infrastructure.
      • Main buildings and loading/unloading cranes are of significant importance.

    • 1x - MH-6M Littlebird
    • 1x - UGV Stomper (Unarmed)
    • 1x - UH-60 Blackhawk

    Enemy assets

    • Medium sized infantry platoon
      • Multiple squad/fireteam sized patrols both around and within the port
      • Infantry is supported by a sizeable motorized force (Mostly light vehicles like armed MRAPS and non-armored vehicles)
      • Up to half a dozen AAA positions, plus a few manpads amongst the infantry
      • Little to no armored vehicles
    • No aircrafts have been spotted patroling the area, but the Rochelle Aerodome is most likely standing ready to assist in the event of an attack.

With the Blue Pearl port secured, we've allready started landing our armored assets onto Tanoa, a few of these vehicles have been made available to you for your next objective, namely Georgetown. Georgetown, as the biggest city on Tanoa, and its capital, is vital to the Tanoan government. If we are able to capture it back, it will be much easier for the government to show the people of Tanoa that the TLF can be defeated. With that kind of boost to moral it should be easier for the TDF to regroup and recruit.

Georgetown lies on the west coast of the primary Tanoan island, we've setup a staging point near the town of Tanouka, so after retrieving your armored assets from the new FOB Idaho near the Blue Pearl port, you are to move to SP Charlie. Once you arrive there it will be up to you to decide how to approach the town itself.

The enemy combatants you captured has provided us some vaulable intel, we now know that all primary roads into Georgetown has roadblocks and ambushes setup in anticipation of your attack, they've also revealed that there are multiple AAA positions placed on the outskirts of the city. In addition we've also learned that most if not all of the remaining enemy armor is present in Georgetown, so hopefully this is the last time we'll go up against enemy armor during this campaign.

    Objectives

    Primary

    • Sieze Georgetown
      • Eliminate all enemy presence

    Secondary

    • Ensure there are no civillian casualties

    Message

With the majority of the primary Tanoan island returned to friendly control, we can focus our efforts on stamping out the insurgency on the outlying islands in the western region of Tanoa. While the rest of the Task force will be moving on known insurgent bases in the south western island group, you will be tasked with assaulting and neutralizing the insurgent HQ and its commander, which are located near the airfield on the north-western island in the Tanoan region.

Make every attempt to capture the enemy commander, he cannot be allowed to escape. If capture proves to be unattainable, then we will need a positive ID of his corpse, the Tanoan government cannot afford to simply assume he's dead.

Also be aware, that the airfield has multiple helicopters stationed there, and whilst most of them are unarmed or lightly armed transports, there might be some gunships amongst them. More importantly, if/when the airfield comes under attack, the enemy commander might attempt to flee in one of said transports, and should he be able to get airborne, you must make every attempt to pursue, as we cannot hope to attain a positive ID if the corpse is unrecognizable.

The entire island is under the control of insurgents, so expect contact from the moment you get boots on the ground.

    HVT Commander.

This is your target. the insurgent commander.

    Objectives

    Primary

    • Eliminate insurgent HQ and its staff
      • Raze the airfield to the ground
      • Locate and neutralize enemy commander.

    Secondary

    • Attempt to capture the enemy commander.
      • If capture is not possible, get a positive ID on the corpse
