Corpsman (also known as combat lifesaver) are military personnel who have been trained and who are responsible for providing first aid on the battlefield.
They are also responsible for providing continuing medical care in the absence of a readily available squad medics or physician, including care for disease and battle injury.
Combat lifesavers are normally co-located with the combat troops they serve in order to easily move with troops and monitor ongoing health.
While a combat lifesaver carries a rifle, it is nowhere near as powerful as the skill he brings as a medic.
Combat lifesavers leave the fighting to the infantry, instead focusing on patching up the wounded and getting them back into the fight. Combat lifesavers should only fire their weapon in self-defense, or in the defense of the wounded.
The primary weapon of the Corpsman is saving his teammates, and he carries an assault rifle such as a M4, M4A1, AKM, AK-74.
